Yamaha India has launched the R15M with a Carbon Fibre Pattern graphic for Rs 2.08 lakh, ex-showroom. The Carbon Fibre Pattern was inspired by the flagship R1M’s carbon bodywork. Yamaha previously presented the R15M Carbon Fibre Pattern edition at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024.
At the launch, Eishin Chihana, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies said, “Since its launch in 2008, the R15 has embodied class leading performance and has enabled numerous consumers in India to experience the joy of riding a SuperSport motorcycle with thoroughbred Yamaha Racing DNA. The young consumers in India are well versed with our international models and the lineage, styling and technology that percolates into the R15 from the R1 has also been significantly recognised and appreciated by them.”
Yamaha R15M Carbon Fibre: Features
The R15M has significant design changes, including a new carbon fiber pattern on the front cowl, side fairings, and rear side panel flanks.
Yamaha used water-dipping technology to give the newly introduced R15 M Carbon Fibre edition a world-class polish. Aside from these new features, the Yamaha motorcycle receives an all-black fender, new decals on the tank and side fairing, and blue wheels at both ends.
The R15M Carbon Fibre edition has Turn-by-Turn Navigation, and the Y-Connect Application, which is available on the Play Store and App Store, provides access to riding as well as music and volume control functions.
The new motorcycle sports an improved switchgear and a new LED license plate light for the convenience of the user.
Yamaha R15M Carbon Fibre: Engine Specifications
The Yamaha R15M has a 155cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 18.1 horsepower and 14.2 Nm of torque. It’s paired to a six-speed transmission with Assist and Slipper clutch.
The new Yamaha R15M is priced at Rs 1.98 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It features a completely digital TFT Riders console with Bluetooth connectivity and is standard in silver.
