The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for five districts in Odisha, anticipating thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds tomorrow.
According to the IMD’s mid-day bulletin, isolated areas in Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, and Mayurbhanj are likely to get thunderstorms with winds gusting up to 30-40 kmph.
“Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) is very likely to occur at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, and Jagatsinghpur & Mayurbhanj”, read IMD’s prediction for tomorrow.
Additionally, severe fog is likely in isolated areas of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Puri districts. These districts have been issued a yellow warning.
Residents are advised to use caution and keep informed about weather conditions.
