Hero MotoCorp recently launched the new Xtreme 160R 4V in India. It receives major improvements over the previous generation and is priced from Rs 1.27 lakh ex-showroom. In a specification-based comparison, here’s how the new 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V compares to the Bajaj Pulsar N160.

In terms of design, both of these naked streetfighters appear violent and are mostly aimed towards a teenage audience. The new Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is available in three different color schemes: Blazing Sports Red, Matt Slate Black, and Neon Shooting Star. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 comes in three color options: Caribbean Blue, Brooklyn Black, and Racing Red.

A 163.2cc, single-cylinder, air and oil-cooled engine produces 16.6 horsepower and 14.6 Nm of peak torque in the new Xtreme 160R 4V. The Bajaj Pulsar N160, on the other hand, is powered by a 164.82cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine producing 15.7 horsepower and 14.65 Nm. Both motorcycles are equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Xtreme 160R 4V uses USD front forks, whereas the Pulsar N160 gets conventional telescopic units. They get a mono-shock absorber at the back. The Xtreme has a disc at the front and a disc/drum at the rear with single-channel ABS, while the Pulsar has disc brakes at both ends with single or dual-channel ABS. The N160 has a semi-digital cluster, whilst the Xtreme 160R has a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity.
