Bhubaneswar: Odisha reports big spike in COVID-19 cases as 4714 more persons, including 416 children below 18 years of age, tested positive for the virus in the state during the last 24 hours.
Out of the 4714 cases, 2755 were detected in quarantine while 1959 are local contact cases.
Khurda district reported highest 1619 fresh infections, followed by Sundargarh (662) and Sambalpur (437).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 1070869 with 16117 active cases.
