Today Odisha reeported 71 new COVID positive cases, a 400% increase from the number of new cases detected the day before.
According to information provided by the I&PR Department, 15,685 samples were examined in the last 24 hours, with 71 testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19.
Odisha’s test positivity rate increased from 0.09 percent to 0.45 percent in a single day.
As many as 66 of the 71 new cases are under the age of 18. Furthermore, 64 of the new infections are local transmission cases, with 7 people quarantined.
According to the figures shared by the I&PR Department, Rayagada district has reported the most cases – 64. There are currently 160 active cases.
Total 9,126 persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the State.
