Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in many places across coastal Odisha, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, and a few other districts, according to the forecast.
Squally winds of 40-50 kmph with gusts up to 60 kmph are expected to continue along and off the Odisha coast from May 11th to 12th, according to the agency.
The Cyclonic Storm is expected to move nearly northwards for the next few hours before recurving slowly north-northeastwards along the coasts of Narsapur, Yanam, Kakinada, Tuni, and Visakhapatnam from noon to evening today, before emerging into the westcentral Bay of Bengal off the coasts of North Andhra Pradesh by night. The IMD predicts that it will gradually deteriorate into a depression by the morning of May 12th.
