The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named India’s team for the Paytm T20I series against South Africa today.
KL Rahul will captain the T20I team, with Rishabh Pant serving as vice captain. Other members of the Indian squad are as follows: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Hardik Pandya, Venkatesh Iyer, Y Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, R Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, and Umran Malik .
The Indian team will face South Africa in a 5-match T20I series in New Delhi, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, and Bengaluru. The series is set to begin on June 9 with the final match on June 19.
For the T20I series against South Africa, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Mohd Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, and others have rested.
Hardik Pandya, who last played for India in the T20 World Cup, has returned.
The BCCI also named the Test squad for the rescheduled fifth Test against England. Rohit Sharma will captain the test team, with KL Rahul serving as vice captain. The fifth rescheduled Test against England will take place from July 1 to 5 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
Other members of Indian test squad are Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant (wk), KS Bharat (wk), R Jadeja, R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohd Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd Siraj, Umesh Yadav and Prasidh Krishna.
