India’s medal chase at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games enters its concluding day, with judo and track cycling providing the final opportunities to add to the count. India’s judo challenge will be led by Avtar Singh in the men’s 100kg, Yash Ghangas in the men’s +100kg, and Ishroop Narang in the women’s 78kg categories, while Ronaldo Laitonjam will compete in the men’s 1,000-meter time trial in track cycling. On the last day, there will also be para-track cycling competitions.
India moved up to fourth place in the Commonwealth Games 2026 medal standings in Glasgow after winning 16 medals on Day 10. This surge increased India’s medal count to 39, with 13 gold, 17 silver, and 9 bronze, with the boxing contingent leading the way.
India topped the boxing medal standings at the Commonwealth Games, winning a record seven gold and three silver medals. Among the gold medalists, Ankush Panghal defeated England’s Dimeji Shittu 4-1 in the men’s 80kg final, while Sachin Siwach beat Namibia’s Tryagain Morning Ndevelo 3-2 in the men’s 60kg. The other Indian boxing gold medalists were Jaismine Lamboria, Preeti Pawar, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, and Arundhati Choudhary.
Praveen Chithravel won silver in the men’s triple jump, with Selva Prabhu Thirumaran taking bronze. Unnati Sharma won the bronze medal in the women’s 63kg judo competition, defeating Skye Knoester of South Africa by Ippon in the third-place match. Karanjit Singh Maan advanced to the men’s -90kg quarter-finals with an ippon win over New Zealand’s Elliott Connolly, before losing to Canada’s Guillaume Gaulin in the last eight and Scotland’s Scott Cuscak in the repechage.
