On Thursday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled the logo for Odisha’s Kho Kho team, the ‘Odisha Juggernauts,’ for India’s First Kho Kho League, ‘Ultimate Kho Kho.’
On the occasion, the CM Tweeted: Glad to launch the logo of “Odisha Juggernauts” – our own team for the first edition of the @ultimatekhokho .
The new team will further strengthen #Odisha’s flourishing sporting culture. Wish the team all success.
The league’s fifth franchise is owned by the Odisha Sports Development and Promotion Company (OSDPC). While Capri Global and KLO Sports own the Rajasthan and Chennai teams, Adani Group and GMR Group own the Gujarat and Telangana franchises, respectively.
In this second direct sports venture for the government, the OSDPC is collaborating with leading steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited (AM/NS India), which also owned a team in the Hockey India League in 2013 (Kalinga Lancers).
