India vs Australia 3rd T20 Match Highlights: India defeated Australia by six wickets in the third and final T20I here on Sunday to win the three-match series 2-1.
The half centuries by Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav put India in cruise mode, but Australia then put the squeeze on in the death overs. The game came down to the penultimate ball, when Hardik Pandya hit a boundary to put India over the line. Cameron Green and Tim David’s half-centuries earlier had helped Australia reach 186/7. India lost openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul early, but Kohli and Suryakumar’s sensational 104-run third-wicket stand in just 62 balls nearly cost Australia the game.
Green played an important role with the ball in slowing India’s run rate in the later overs, but Kohli hit a six off the first delivery to give his team a boost. Pandya then took the hosts over the line with just one ball.
