India vs South Africa 1st T20I Highlights: Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul both hit half-centuries as the hosts chased down 107 on a difficult pitch to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

After fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada, Wayne Parnell, and Anrich Nortje all took advantage of the hot conditions in Thiruvananthapuram to dismiss Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli early, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul steadied the Indian innings. Previously, the Indian pacers had done the same thing with better results, with Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar knocking out South Africa’s top order in the first four overs. South Africa finished with a score of 106/8. While it appeared that South Africa would simply make life difficult for India despite the low target, Suryakumar and Rahul steadied the chase and led India to a comfortable victory.
