T20 World Cup 2022, 2nd Semi-Final Highlights: England defeated India by 10 wickets to advance to the final of the 2022 men’s T20 World Cup. Despite setting a defendable total, England’s opening batters quickly dispatched the Indian bowlers, winning the match by 10 wickets.
Jos Buttler and Alex Hales made a mockery of India’s 169-run target for England. The openers chased it down with four overs to spare and assured their place in the final at the MCG, where they will face Pakistan.
England finished with a score of 170/0 after Buttler scored 80 off 49 balls and Hales scored 86 off 47.
Earlier, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya’s fifties helped India recover from a shaky start to post 168/5. When India batted, they got off to a slow start, losing opener KL Rahul (5) early on, but Kohli held the innings together to slam his fourth fifty of the tournament. But it was Pandya’s blazing knock that propelled India’s total.
