Mehuli Ghosh of India won the Women’s 10m Air Rifle gold medal at the Asian Airgun Championship 2022 on Saturday, defeating South Korean shooter Eunyoung Cho.
Mehuli, who won a silver medal at the 2018 Youth Olympics, finished second in the ranking round with a score of 261.1, while Cho took first with a score of 262.5.
However, the Indian shooter won the gold medal match by a score of 16-12.
Elavenil Valarivan, a former world No. 1 and Tokyo Olympian, had a disappointing outing, finishing sixth in the ranking round.
Tilottama Sen and Nancy finished 1-2 in the Junior Women’s 10m Air Rifle event for India. Nancy (261.4) won the ranking round, with Tilottama (260.4) finishing second to set up an all-Indian gold medal clash.
Tilottama won the gold medal match by defeating Nancy 17-11. Nancy had to settle for second place.
