From Wednesday, over 3.5 lakh students will take the annual Plus II examinations administered by the Odisha Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). The Arts stream will have 2,19,110 students, while the Science and Commerce streams will have 91,379 and 23,148 students, respectively.
The exams will end on April 5, 2023.
The exams will be held in 1,145 locations. Furthermore, the CHSE has established 202 examination management hubs where question papers will be stored before being distributed to exam centers. The relevant question papers were delivered to the exam centers at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, with the exams set to begin at 10 a.m. For the smooth operation of the examinations, the centers are under CCTV surveillance.
Examination controller Ashok Nayak said, “All the questions papers of the first nine days of the Plus II exams have been sent to the hubs, which are under 24-hour CCTV surveillance and police protection.”
The CHSE board has directed the students to report at their respective centres at 9.00 am. Inside the centers, they will be permitted to bring only their admit cards, black ballpoint pens, and water bottles.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, students who completed their matriculation without taking offline exams will take their first offline board exams today. This year’s CHSE exams will be held in the old format and will cover the entire curriculum.
