Light to moderate thunderstorms with lightning and light to moderate rain is likely to affect some parts of the districts of Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Bargarh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore during the next three hours, said a nowcast warning issued by the Meteorological Centre here at 2.42 PM.
The Meteorological Centre has issued a ‘Yellow’ warning for the aforementioned districts.
People have been advised to monitor the weather and move to safer locations as needed to avoid being struck by lightning.
