The monsoon season has arrived, and while most of us are loving the rain, shifting weather conditions can cause a slew of health issues. This could result in a decrease in our immunity. A brief break in the weather can have a negative impact on metabolism, causing colds, coughs, and seasonal diseases. An ayurvedic treatment, on the other hand, can always safeguard you during a weather change. Kadha or ‘Kara’ is an Ayurvedic handmade drink created with a variety of herbs and spices that are often cooked in water to extract its benefits. This is the cheapest home cure for boosting immunity and fighting illnesses.
What is Kadha Drink?
Kadha, also known as karha, is an Ayurvedic drink made from a blend of herbs and spices that are cooked in water to extract its health effects.
The technique of preparing kadha dates back over 500 years. In reality, the decoction, or spice and herb mixture, is one of the oldest types of medicine discovered in Ayurveda.
It is made with ingredients that cannot be juiced, such as dried spices and herbs like clove, turmeric, black pepper, cardamom, and others, as well as fresh herbs and honey. This is now a very popular drink in Indian households and is frequently suggested as the ultimate home cure for cough and cold with no adverse effects.
Very Common Ingredients added in a kadha are black pepper, cloves, ginger, honey and basil leaves (tulsi) which not just fight existing cough and cold but also strengthen the immunity.
