After finishing the current season on the road, India will face Australia, Afghanistan, and England in the 2023-24 season.
The Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the sites for the home season 2023-24 on Tuesday.
The forthcoming season promises to be an exciting time for cricket fans, with the senior men’s side scheduled to play a total of 16 international matches, including 5 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 8 T20Is, according to the BCCI on Tuesday.
The BCCI’s Tours, Fixtures, and Technical Committee, comprised of Amitabh Vijayvargiya, Jayendra Sahgal, and Hari Narayan Pujari, confirmed the venues allocated in accordance with the BCCI venue rotation policy, according to a release issued by BCCI honorary secretary Jay Shah.
The 2018 home season will begin with India hosting Australia for a three-match One-Day International series ahead of the season’s main event, the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The one-day international series will be played in Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot. Following the 50-over World Cup, India will face Australia in a five-match Twenty20 International series, which will begin on November 23 in Visakhapatnam and conclude on December 3 in Hyderabad.
Afghanistan will arrive in India at the start of the new year for their first white-ball bilateral tour.
The three-match T20I series will be contested in Mohali and Indore, with the final match taking place in Bengaluru, the site of Afghanistan’s first-ever Test match.
Test cricket will subsequently take over, with India hosting England for a five-match Test series starting on January 25, 2024. The exciting Test series will be played at Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Ranchi, and Dharamsala.
