GATE 2024: The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 information brochure. According to the updated schedule, registration will now begin on August 30 and end on September 29.

The GATE 2024 exam will be held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024, according to the updated schedule. On these dates, the exam will be held in two sessions: forenoon and afternoon. The exam will be administered by computer-based testing (CBT).
The exam admit cards will be released on January 3, 2024. GATE 2024 results will be revealed on March 16, and score cards will be available on the official website from March 23 to May 31.
There will be 30 test papers in all. GATE 2024 will be totally in English and of the objective type. Multiple Choice inquiries (MCQ), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) inquiries are examples of question kinds. Only one of the four alternatives in MCQs is correct. In MSQs, one or more of four options is/are correct; and in NAT questions, the answer must be entered via a virtual keypad. For computations, candidates must only use the on-screen virtual calculator offered.
Negative marking will be used for incorrect answers; for a 1-mark MCQ, a wrong answer will be deducted by 1/3. Similarly, for a 2-mark MCQ, a bad answer will result in a 2/3 deduction. There is no negative marking for incorrect MSQ and NAT responses. There is also no half credit for any question.
Candidates are only permitted to take one or two test papers. The two-paper combinations must be picked from the provided list. If new two-paper combinations become available, candidates will be able to alter their choices and select test papers with non-conflicting schedules. Candidates taking two test papers, on the other hand, must fill out only one application form.
