The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced the schedule for Round 2 of NEET UG Counseling 2026. The registration and payment process for All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed, and Central Universities will begin on September 3, along with choice filling. The Round 2 seat allotment results will be released on September 11.
Round 2 of state counseling will begin on September 7 and go until September 11. Candidates assigned seats in either AIQ or state counseling must complete the joining process by September 18.

Candidates for AIQ, Deemed, and Central University counseling can register and pay from September 3 to September 8. Payment will be accepted until 6 p.m. on September 8. Choice filling will be accessible until 10 a.m. on September 9, with choice locking starting at 4 p.m. on September 8.
The state counseling schedule will run separately from September 7 to September 11. The deadline for joining AIQ and state counseling remains September 18. MCC will verify joined candidates for AIQ counseling on September 19, and state counseling authorities will do the same for state counseling.
Who is eligible for NEET UG Round 2 counselling?
Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 may participate in Round 2 based on the MCC counseling requirements. Candidates that were assigned a seat in Round 1 can advance to Round 2 if they selected “Float”, indicating that they are willing to upgrade their seat. Candidates who choose “Freeze” will keep their Round 1 seat and will not be eligible for upgrade in Round 2.
Candidates who were assigned a seat in Round 1 and desire to participate in Round 2 for upgradation must complete the prescribed online process and submit the necessary papers. Under the revised 2026 system, Float candidates do not need to physically report to the allotted college for document verification; their documents are verified online by the institute.
