Cuttack: The newly constructed Netaji Bus Terminal in the city will open to the public on September 16.
Subash Chandra Singh, the mayor of Cuttack, stated that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will dedicate the bus terminal to the people.
He also stated that a trial run will begin on September 13 at the bus terminal.
The new bus terminal covers 15 acres of land at Khannagar, Cuttack, and was built at a cost of Rs 70 crore by the Odisha government.
Patnaik lay the groundwork for the Bus Terminal on the 125th anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birth on January 23, 2021.
The newly built Terminal is outfitted with all modern amenities, including bus bays and allocated parking spaces, to enable smooth passenger mobility. According to a recent declaration by the State Government, the first state-of-the-art Aahaar Centre would be built in Netaji Bus Terminal, with capacity for roughly 1000 people at a time.
