On September 29, a cyclonic circulation is expected to form over the north Andaman Sea and its surroundings. The system is expected to build into a Low Pressure system over the north Andaman Sea and the bordering East-central Bay of Bengal over the next 48 hours, according to the IMD report.
Light to moderate rain fell in a few areas across Interior Odisha and in one or two spots in Coastal Odisha, with heavy rain falling in one location across the district of Mayurbhanj.
Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected to fall in most areas of Nuapada, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, and many more districts.
Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal were all issued yellow warnings by the meteorological department.
According to the weather forecasting organization, conditions are improving for the retreat of the Southwest Monsoon from areas of West Rajasthan around September 25.
