Common Admission Test (CAT) Do’s & Don’ts: On November 26, the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2023 will be held. The CAT 2023 exam will be divided into three sessions of two hours each. The first session of CAT 2023 will be held between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., the second from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., and the third and final session from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The morning session of CAT 2023 begins at 7 a.m., while the afternoon and evening sessions begin at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively. IIM Lucknow, the CAT organizing institute, has already distributed the admit card at iimcat.ac.in.
The candidates’ names, application numbers, test date and day are all listed on the CAT 2023 admit cards, CAT exam time and session of the exam, reporting time and entry time, gate closing time. CAT exam centres details and exam day guidelines are also mentioned on the CAT 2023 admit card. It will be held online at designated test centres across the country.
CAT 2023: Things to carry
– CAT 2023 hall ticket printed on an A4 size paper
– An original ID proof like Aadhaar card, PAN card or Indian passport
– Scribe affidavit, if applicable
CAT 2023: Things not allowed
– Mobile phones and Bluetooth devices are not allowed inside the exam centre
– Electronic devices including watches cannot be worn by the candidates taking the CAT 2023 exam
– Jewellery containing metal or any other metal item is barred inside the CAT 2023 exam hall
– Shoes and footwear with thick soles will not be allowed
– Garments with large buttons are not allowed
CAT 2023: Do’s and dont’s on the exam day
- Candidates will be required to verify and carry their original ID proof and the printed CAT 2023 admit card
- A recent photograph in the desired size must be affixed to the CAT hall ticket 2023. The photograph pasted on the admit card should be the same as that uploaded during the CAT 2023 application form.
- Candidates will be required to drop the CAT admit card at the drop box provided after the end of the exam.
- Candidates will be provided with one pen and one scribble pad. These will also have to be deposited after the exam ends.
- Candidates cannot use the keyboard at any point in time while appearing for the CAT 2023 exam online. They will only have to use the mouse. Using the keyboard while taking the CAT test online will lock the computer system.
- Candidates will not be allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic gadgets, watches, calculators, their own stationery items, pens, wallets, and goggles
- Candidates will also have to agree to a Non-Disclosure Agreement at the time of appearing for CAT 2023. Under this, the CAT 2023 student cannot disclose, share, transmit or store any information related to the exam, whether verbal or written, electronically or mechanically for any purpose.
Candidates who have received a valid CAT 2023 score will be able to register for admission to postgraduate (PG) programs at Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other participating colleges.
