NEET UG 2024 Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday, February 9 started the application process for the NEET UG 2024. Interested candidates can apply for NEET UG 2024 at the official NEET website — neet.ntaonline.in. NEET UG 2024 exam will be held on May 5.
The National Medical Commission (NMC) had two months back released a notice on the updated syllabus. Due to the COVID-19 scenario, various school boards deleted portions of each subject’s syllabus. The deleted portion is still not being taken back by these boards. The deletions were not uniform across various boards. This time, the NEET UG 2024 will not be conducted outside India, as per the decision of the National Medical Commission, a senior NTA official confirmed to media.

To fill the NEET application form 2024, medical aspirants must have a valid email ID and mobile number. Plus, candidates must get themselves photographed without masks on — 80% of the face needs to be visible, including the ears.

Candidates are required to keep ready a few important items – scanned copy of photograph and signature (as per the prescribed specifications), bank account details, education qualification certificates before filling the application form.
NEET UG Application Form 2024: Fees to be paid
While filling the online NEET 2024 application form, aspirants need to pay an application fee. For Indian candidates belonging to General Category, the NEET 2024 registration fee is Rs 1,700. However, there are relaxations for the reserved categories. For General-EWS/ OBC-NCL, the NEET UG application fee is Rs 1,600 and for SC/ST/PwBD/Third gender, it is Rs 1,000.

Candidates are advised to take 6-8 passport size and 4-6 postcard size (4” X6”) coloured photographs with white background. The photographs are to be used for uploading on online application form, for examination, and also for counselling and admission. This is to ensure that the same photograph is used for all documents and all purposes related to NEET UG 2024.

Step 1: Visit the official website —neet.ntaonline.in
Step 2: If you are a new students, apply through the ‘new registration’ link, or login through the [link given on the right side of the screen.
Step 3: Click on new registration and fill in details such as name, date of birth, gender, mobile number and email address
Step 4: Once registered, login using your application number and password
Step 5: Fill the application form
Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees
Step 7: Download the application form for future reference
