In Odisha, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest all 21 Lok Sabha seats and 147 Assembly seats on its own.
Manmohan Samal, BJP State Unit president, made this announcement in a post on X, formerly Twitter.
“Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight alone this time in all 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats to create a developed India and a developed Odisha under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to fulfil the hope, expectation and aspiration of 4.5 crore Odiyas,” said Samal in his post on X.
Samal has thanked Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of Odisha for supporting the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on many issues of national importance over the last 10 years.
He said that every state in the nation with a dual-engine administration has seen an acceleration of poverty alleviation and development, with the affected states advancing in every direction.
The president of the BJP State Unit made the observation that many of the social programs implemented by the Modi government in Odisha are now not reaching the local level, depriving the state’s impoverished of their benefits.
“We do not agree with the State government on several issues concerning Odia -pride, Odisha’s glory, and Odisha’s interest,” he added.
