BJD Distributes Responsibilities For Nuapada By-Poll Campaign

The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has assigned roles to its leaders for the impending Nuapada by-election.

According to a party statement, 36 leaders have been allocated to two blocks: Nuapada (18) and Komna (18). Additionally, 16 leaders have been assigned to two NACs: 8 for Nuapada NAC and 8 for Khariar Road NAC.

The decision follows BJD president and former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s announcement that he will campaign for the party’s Nuapada candidate. Campaigning in Nuapada has already begun, with major parties announcing their candidates, and the election is expected to be a close race.

Snehangini Chhuria, a former Minister and two-time MLA, has been named the BJD’s by-election candidate.
