According to the Israeli military, one of Hamas’s senior internal security officials was killed in the recent airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
The official who attempted to carry out significant operations in Gaza and planned assaults in Israeli territory was murdered by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security service, according to IDF spokeswoman Avichay Adraee, who made this announcement on social media on Saturday.
He said that Akram Abdul Rahman Hussein Salama, who was killed by fighter jets on Wednesday, had a number of senior roles in Hamas and its connected internal organization.
The statement went on to say that the guy was wanted for organizing and carrying out significant strikes in Israeli territory and against the Israeli military.
Israel has been launching a large-scale offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on October 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and more than 200 were taken hostage.
