IPL 2024 LSG vs CSK Highlights: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captain KL Rahul hit 82 in 53 balls as part of a 134-run opening combination with Quinton de Kock as the team defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by eight wickets. LSG defeated a target of 177 with an over to spare, securing their fourth win of the season.
Earlier, LSG held CSK’s hitters back for much of the innings, but a late burst led by MS Dhoni allowed the defending champions beyond the 170-run barrier. Dhoni finished unbeaten on 28 runs in just nine deliveries, leading CSK to a score of 176/6. Ravindra Jadeja was at the other end, scoring 57 off 40. Rahul had won the toss and stated that the home team will be bowling first. CSK stuck to their new opening pair of Ajinkya Rahane and Rachin Ravindra. However, Ravindra’s woes continued as he fell for a golden duck in the second over. LSG hardly ever allowed CSK to get any kind of partnership going with Ajinkya Rahane’s 36 off 24 and Moeen Ali’s 30 off 20 being CSK’s best scores outside of what Jadeja and Dhoni could do.
