On Thursday, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) unveiled the final list of candidates for the state’s Assembly elections. Odisha Chief Minister and BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik released the candidates’ names in a video message.
The party has announced candidates for three MLA seats—Khandapada, Nilagiri, and Korei—while changing the nomination for the Deogarh Assembly constituency.
Sabitri Pradhan has been nominated for the Khandapada Assembly seat, Sukanta Nayak will run for Nilagiri, and Sandhyarani Das will represent the BJD in Korei. Sandhyarani Das is the mother of Pranab Prakash Das, BJD’s organisational secretary and contender for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha seat.
Romanch Ranjan Biswal will replace Arundhati Devi as BJD candidate for the Deogarh Assembly constituency.
