NEET UG 2024 Result: The National Eligibility and Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 results were released today by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website. Students who appeared can check the result and download the scorecard at exams.nta.ac.in. The cut-off this year for the general category candidates has increased from 720-137 last year to 720-164 this year. The all India rank 1 is shared by 67 students. They have scored 99.997129 percentile. This year’s cutoff for applicants in the general and general-PH categories is now 720-164, up from 720-137 the previous year. A total of 67 students share the top spot in all of India. Their percentile score is 99.997129.
The NEET UG 2024 result is announced on the basis of the final answer key released on June 4 morning. The NEET UG 2024 result was expected to be declared in the second or third week of June, however, NTA has announced it in record time.
As per the data shared by NTA, a total of 9,96,393 male candidates 13,31,321 female candidates, and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the exam. While the overall attendance has been recorded at 96.94 per cent, the attendance of male candidates was 96.92 per cent, 96.96 per cent for female candidates, and 94.44 per cent for transgender candidates.
In 2023, AIIMS New Delhi had 48 places available for open-category candidates, despite the fact that 67 students received rank 1 admission. The institute had 132 seats in total, with three designated for candidates from the open PWD category, 11 for General-EWS, 32 for OBC, 18 for SC, 9 for ST, and one for each of SC-PwD and Gen-EWS PwD. There were two seats set aside for OBC-PwD.
For the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward class candidates, the NEET UG 2024 cut-off has increased to 163-129 from 136-107 last year. Similarly, the NEET UG 2024 cut off for SC, ST and OBC-PH candidates, the cut off has increased from 120-107 last year to 145-129 this year.
The NEET cut-off is 40th for applicants who identify as OBC, SC, or ST, and 50th for MBBS and BDS candidates in the general category. The highest score on the all-India common merit list is used by the NTA to calculate the NEET UG percentile.
A total of 24,06,079 students registered for the medical entrance exam this year, and 23,33,297 of them showed up. 13,16,268 candidates applied for medical school and qualified for the entrance exam. Of the total number of qualifying students, 5,47,036 are male, 769222 are female, and 10 are transgender, according to data released by the NTA.
