The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has changed the timetable for Round 1 of NEET UG Counseling 2026, extending the deadline for registration and option filling. The Round 1 seat allocation results will be published on August 19.
According to the new timetable released by MCC, candidates can register for Round 1 and pay the price until August 15. Registration will be open until 2 p.m. on August 15, with the payment facility available until 5 p.m. on the same day.
The choice-filling window, which opened on August 6, will be open until 6 p.m. on August 17.
Candidates will be able to lock their choices on August 17 between 10 am and 6 pm. MCC will process the seat allotment on August 18, following which the Round 1 result will be declared on August 19.
Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to report to their respective colleges between August 20 and August 25. Verification of candidates who join their allotted institutes will be conducted on August 26.

MCC conducts counseling for admission to undergraduate medical courses, such as MBBS and BDS, under the All India Quota and other categories.
Candidates are recommended to complete their registration, fee payment, and choice-filling activities by the new deadlines. The MCC letter also recommends candidates to check the official counseling website on a regular basis for any new changes.
