Instead of June 10, the newly elected BJP government’s Odisha Chief Minister will take the oath of office on June 12.
The BJP has selected Bhubaneswar’s large open space, Janata Maidan, for the event, intending to make it a great spectacle. However, the BJP’s important meeting, which was supposed to take place on June 10, is probably going to happen on June 11.
The Odisha chief minister’s oath-taking ceremony is set to take place at Janata Maida in Bhubaneswar, and the prime minister is expected to be present.
A number of candidates, including Suresh Pujari, KV Singhdeo, and Mohan Majhi, are vying to become the next chief minister, with State BJP president Manmohan Samal leading the pack of contenders.
In the elections held recently, the BJP bagged 78 of the 147 seats in the Odisha Legislative Assembly and the party won 20 out of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ended Patnaik’s 24-year rule in Odisha by winning 78 of the 147 seats in the assembly.
More details awaited.
