India’s ‘Golden Boy’ Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the Javelin final at the Paris Olympics 2024. Neeraj threw 89.34 metres in 10 minutes on the field at the Stade de France.
The world champion set a season best of 88.36m at the Doha Diamond League in May. He now owns the national record of 89.94m, set at the Stockholm Diamond League in Sweden in June 2022.
Jakub Vadlejch of Czechia will be one of the main contenders for the gold medal, competing against Neeraj Chopra. Anderson Peters of Grenada, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem, Kenya’s Julius Yego, Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott, and Finland’s Oliver Helander all contribute to the Olympics’ high stakes.
