The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the provisional answer key for the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) June 2024 today, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, for the exams held from August 21 to August 23.
Candidates who took the test can view the tentative answers on the official website listed above. The provisional answer key also includes a question paper with recorded responses.
Students who took the exam can challenge the answer key between September 7 and September 9, up until 11:50 p.m. The deadline for payment is September 9.
UGC NET 2024: Steps to download provisional answer key
Step 1: Visit the official website of UGC NET – ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the UGC NET Answer Key 2024 link shown.
Step 3: Fill your application number and date of birth and submit it.
Step 4: The answer key will be shown, download and save it for future reference.
A fee of Rs 200 will be charged online for each contested answer key; this amount is non-refundable. The UGC NET 2024 exam was administered in a computer-based format (CBT) at centers across the country from August 21 to September 4.
Every question on the question paper carried two points, and candidates received two points for each correct response. No marks will be lost for incorrect responses, and no points will be awarded for questions that are not attempted or answered.
The UGC NET is held twice a year (in June and December) for the appointment of Junior Research Fellows (JRF), Assistant Professorships, and admittance to PhD programs. The exam was formerly conducted on June 18 but was cancelled on June 19 post amid the charges of paper leak which were later found to be true.
