Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced today that qualified beneficiaries who have not received their Subhadra assistance will get phone calls from government authorities explaining the cause for the delay.
Parida further stated that representatives from the government will assist them in resolving the difficulties. Furthermore, Anganwadi workers would contact disadvantaged beneficiaries and verify their applications.
The Deputy CM has pledged that the initial installment will continue till the final beneficiary receives aid.
“We will ensure the payment to every eligible woman. The DBT will continue until the last beneficiary receives her money. The date for the release of the third phase money will be announced soon. Women who have not yet received their money will get in the third phase,” she said.
“Around 1 crore 60 thousand applicants have registered themselves under the scheme. Some women missed out on the benefits due to registration issues or some other reasons. To address this, we’ll be contacting them directly to understand their problems. A thorough verification process will be conducted at the block level, and Anganwadi workers have been asked to conduct door-to-door surveys to identify the beneficiaries who haven’t received their due funds,” she informed.
On October 9, the government credited Rs 5,000 to recipients’ accounts in the second part of the first instalment of the Subhadra Scheme as a Durga Puja bonus. However, many ladies are still waiting for their first instalment. Beneficiaries who have yet to get their money are upset about the delay.
