Odisha is witnessing a severe cold wave, with nine locations reporting temperatures – 10 degrees Celsius. G. Udayagiri is the coldest, shivering at 5°C.
Other parts of the state also recorded low temperatures, including Similiguda at 5.9 degrees Celsius, Phulbani at 8 degrees Celsius, and Daringbadi at 8.5 degrees Celsius. Koraput saw a minimum temperature of 9.4 degrees Celsius, while Rourkela recorded 9.5 degrees Celsius.
Jharsuguda, Bhawanipatna, and Nabarangpur were among the other places to see a minimum temperature of 9.8 degrees Celsius. The cold wave is anticipated to persist in the state, with temperatures dropping even more in the coming days.
