The Department of Youth Affairs, led by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue at Bharat Mandapam on Friday, and the next three days will be jam-packed with exciting activities.
The event seeks to create a unique forum for young people to present new solutions for Viksit Bharat.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya went to X to announce that the event will allow bright and talented young people from throughout the country to propose their imaginative ideas for a Viksit Bharat to Prime Minister Modi.
A total of 3,000 active and motivated teenagers have been chosen to participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue through a merit-based, multi-level selection process meant to find and highlight the most promising voices from throughout the country.
The 3,000 participants include 1,500 from the Viksit Bharat Track, representing the top 500 teams from State Championships; 1,000 from the Traditional Track, chosen through state-level youth festivals, cultural programs, and exhibitions on the themes of innovation in Science and Technology by young innovators; and 500 Pathbreakers, invited for their groundbreaking contributions across ten thematic tracks.
The participants will present their innovative ideas at Bharat Mandapam, representing a historic convergence of youth leadership and a vision for Viksit Bharat.
On Friday, participants will be able to express their vision for a developed India through painting, story writing, music, dance, declamation, and poetry competitions. Later in the evening, Union Ministers and MPs will host a supper. This event will allow participants to engage directly with officials, bridging the gap between youth ambitions and government actions.
On Day 2, the event will begin with the opening session, which will be chaired by Union Ministers of Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs, and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya and Raksha Khadse, as well as other Ministry officials.
Participants will be brought to ten designated sites for deliberations on ten identified themes and will see the participation of mentors and domain area experts, including S. Somnath, Pawan Goenka, Amitabh Kant, Sachin Bansal, Ronnie Screwvala, Anand Kumar, Ritesh Aggarwal, Bhaichung Bhutia, Chavvi Rajawat, Kalpana Saroj, and others.
A Viksit Bharat Exhibition will showcase youth-focused projects from state and central ministries. It will provide engaging experiences to introduce people to opportunities in education, skill development, entrepreneurship, and culture.
January 12, National Youth Day, commemorating Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary, will be a defining event for all participants. This day will include the most anticipated section of the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a specially curated Coffee Table Book, which will have the best essays from each of the ten identified themes. PM Modi will also introduce the young Anthem, a stunning musical piece designed to inspire and unite India’s young around a shared vision of national prosperity and development.
The grand plenary session, led by the Prime Minister, will be the highlight of the last day. He will address the crowd and inspire the young people there to realize the aim of Viksit Bharat.
