The state government’s two-day premier business gathering, “Utkarsh Odisha -2025,” will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday at Bhubaneswar’s Janata Maidan.
On Tuesday, the business conference will center around three themes: women entrepreneurs, skilled in Odisha, and start-ups in the state.
The goal of the colloquium, according to Sampad Chandra Swain, Minister of Industries and Skill Development & Technical Education, is to establish Odisha as a major industrial hub on a global scale while promoting equitable and sustainable growth, he told the media on Tuesday.
“This conclave is not merely an investment summit but a transformative journey. Odisha is ready to lead India’s industrial revolution, and we are eager to welcome industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators to explore Odisha’s immense potential and be part of this journey that transforms dreams into reality,” he said.
With more than 7,500 business representatives signed up, including more than 100 foreign delegates and diplomats from 20 nations, the Utkarsh Odisha 2025 is expected to garner international interest. While delegations from nations like Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the UK, the US, and Nepal, among others, will play a significant role, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will take the lead in talks and cooperation.
Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Jual Oram, and Ashwini Vaishnaw will attend the summit together with prominent business executives such as Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, Karan Adani, and others.
In addition to promoting renewable energy, green fuels, and the circular economy, the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave will highlight industries such as technical textiles, downstream petrochemicals, specialty metals, and film and media. Odisha’s dedication to sustainable development and fostering international collaborations is in line with these initiatives.
