The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain in several districts of Odisha for three days beginning February 19.
According to an IMD statement, light rain is expected in one or two locations in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, and Balasore on February 19. A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, and Balasore.
On February 20, light to moderate rain is expected in one or two locations across the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Balasore. The IMD has also issued a yellow alert to these districts.
Similarly, districts such as Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore are expected to receive mild rain on February 21. Meanwhile, the weather agency has expected a dry spell for the next 24 hours.
