During the fifth or last phase of the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana, the Odisha government distributed Rs 5,000 to around 2.30 lakh women beneficiaries.
This phase saw the government spend over Rs 115 crore to support women beneficiaries as part of the state’s flagship initiative, according to Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida during a special ceremony on Thursday.
In addition, Parida announced financial prizes for Anganwadi personnel and helpers who contributed to the scheme’s success.
According to the notification, Anganwadi staff will receive Rs 1,500, while assistance will receive Rs 500 as a prize.
Meanwhile, the second installment of the Subhadra Yojana is scheduled to be released on March 8, which coincides with International Women’s Day.
Deputy Chief Minister Parida also advised women recipients to light lamps in front of their homes on March 7 evening to commemorate the scheme’s success.
