Tomorrow, up to nine districts may encounter thunderstorms with lightning and hail, as well as gusty surface wind speeds of 50-60 kmph. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange alerts for following districts.
The following districts are likely to be affected by the weather: Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Deogarh.
Furthermore, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj may have severe rains (7-11 cm) and thunderstorms with lightning on Saturday.
The regional meteorological office has issued yellow alerts for Kendrapada, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Boudh, Sonepur, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, and Nabarangapur. Thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds of 40-50 kmph are possible in these districts.
