Odisha cricket fans have reason to celebrate, as Cuttack’s legendary Barabati Stadium is expected to host one of India’s T20 matches against South Africa in December.
The visitors are scheduled to tour India for a multi-format series that will include two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is beginning in late November, according to national media.
This tour follows the successful four-match T20I bilateral series in November 2024, in which India won in South Africa. Although there has been no official confirmation from the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) or the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), national media reports imply that the inaugural T20I match could take place on December 9 at the Barabati Stadium.
The T20I series, which serves as a lead-up to next year’s T20 World Cup, is set to take place on December 9, 11, 14, 17, and 19. The matches will take place at Cuttack, Nagpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.
