In just four days, the temperature is anticipated to soar by four to five degrees Celsius. According to the weather bureau, the temperature is forecast to reach 40 degrees Celsius by March 27. However, no heat wave warnings have been issued for the next four days.
According to sources, the western districts of Boudh and Jharsuguda are virtually daily breaking the maximum temperature record. In just two days, western Odisha experienced temperatures ranging from 5 to 7 degrees Celsius.
On March 14, Jharsuguda reached 41.8 degrees Celsius, while on March 15, Boudh recorded 42.5 degrees Celsius, becoming one of the hottest areas in the country. Beginning March 20, the Kalabaisakhi rains devastated Odisha.
