Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will issue employment letters to 826 Post Graduate Trained (PGT) teachers on June 6, according to School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to filling teacher shortages throughout Odisha.
“As soon as the new government assumed office, nearly 16,000 junior teachers were appointed,” Gond told me. “After that, appointment letters were sent to another 2,000 hopefuls. The process is ongoing and demonstrates our commitment to fulfill all open positions in the teaching cadre.”
He also stated that the state administration is concerned with resolving any concerns that may arise throughout the recruitment process. “We are actively listening to concerns and will take appropriate steps to address them,” according to the minister.
