Odisha Govt Hikes Wildlife Attack Death Compensation To Rs 10 Lakh

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has raised the compensation payment for deaths caused by wildlife attacks in the state from 6 lakh to 10 lakh rupees.

Villages near forests are frequently subjected to wildlife attacks, resulting in loss of life and property. Keeping this in mind, the Chief Minister increased the compensation sum for the affected individuals.

According to the ruling, in addition to higher compensation for deaths, if a residential house is damaged, a dwelling from the Antyodaya Housing Scheme or equal financial help will be supplied. In the event of damage to a kitchen, grain storage room, or livestock shed, 3,000 rupees in compassionate aid will be supplied.

Similarly, if a concrete or compound wall is broken, compassionate aid of 5,000 rupees per metre, up to a maximum of 25,000 rupees, would be given.
