The Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar has taken aggressive steps to maintain public order and safety during the 12-hour statewide bandh declared by eight opposition parties, including the Congress. To ensure peace and order, the police have placed high-resolution AI cameras and drones in important sites such as major crossroads, markets, and government buildings.
According to reports, police officers in uniform and plainclothes have been stationed at key locations such as Lok Seva Bhawan, the Odisha Legislative Assembly, and the homes of prominent political leaders.
A central command structure has been built to closely monitor the situation, with top officers assigned to manage field activities.
In preparation for probable law and order issues during the statewide bandh, a large police force has been deployed in the twin cities. 82 platoons of police officers have been strategically stationed in critical regions to protect public safety and avoid disruptions.
Meanwhile, the Commissionerate police have encouraged citizens and government personnel to completely comply with security measures to ensure public safety and continuous delivery of key services during the bandh.
