The exam is used to determine eligibility for associate professor posts, Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), and admission to the PhD programme.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) met with officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA) and requested them to announce the UGC-NET June 2025 results as soon as possible. The union stated that the delay was causing anxiety for thousands of candidates, particularly those seeking admission to PhD programs, including JNU, where the admission process is well underway.
