The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun the post-results procedure for the Class 10 main and secondary board exams 2026. All students who took the main board examinations or the second board exams can now apply for scanned copies of their assessed answer books through the board’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
The entire post-result process will be completed in three parts. According to a notification published by the board on August 5, Class 10 students can apply for scanned copies of their assessed answer sheets until August 9 by paying a cost of Rs 300 per subject.
After studying the scanned answer sheets, students who want to contest the evaluation can request online for mark verification or re-evaluation from August 16 to August 19 using the aforementioned portal. This year, the board requires students to receive a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet before applying for mark verification or re-evaluation.
The notification also specifies specific criteria for students who took both the Main and Second Board Examinations. Such students can acquire scanned copies of their answer sheets from both examinations, but they cannot request verification or re-evaluation for the answer book from either examination. Students who want to verify the entire answer sheet for a subject will have to pay Rs 300.
Students applying for verification of marks should note that the process will only involve checking whether all answers have been evaluated, whether the marks have been correctly totalled and whether the awarded marks have been accurately transferred. It will not involve any reassessment of the original evaluation.
Students can also apply for re-evaluation by paying a fee of Rs 100 per question.

CBSE has asked all Class 10 students to submit their online applications by the specified deadlines. Applications received after the closing dates will not be processed. Fees for post-result services such as scanning, verification, and re-evaluation are non-refundable.
On July 18, the board announced the CBSE Class 10 Second Board Examination Result 2026, although the main examination result was issued earlier on April 15.
