The Odisha government deployed an expert team of doctors from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, to Nuapada district today as part of the Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva Scheme (MBSSS).
According to an official press release, the crew arrived in the district with all of the essential equipment and supplies. The team would camp at the district headquarters hospital until July 24 and provide super-specialist clinical services, including as consultations and therapeutic interventions, to all recruited patients.
The team includes Dr. Bhawani Shankar Dhal from Endocrinology, Dr. Biswajit Mohanty from Nephrology, Dr. Lincoln Patel from Urology, Dr. Sananda Kumar Sethi from Gastroenterology, and Dr. Sonalika Behera from Neurology and Dr Pankaj Kumar Maravi from the department of Cardiology.
According to available statistics, around 632 patients from various Nuapada districts were screened and enlisted for service under the initiative. This team would do case-by-case analyses of all individual patients, preparing them for the necessary treatment and interventions by a senior expert team that would visit the district tomorrow.
