A low-pressure area is expected to develop over the northwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal around August 13, according to the Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar. Many areas in Odisha are expected to see light to moderate rainfall between August 12 and 14, as this system is expected to increase rainfall activity throughout the state starting on August 12.
It is anticipated that North and South Odisha would experience more intense rainfall. At the moment, a cyclonic circulation is continuing to move south-west over Bangladesh, the coast of West Bengal, and the nearby northwest Bay of Bengal. It is anticipated that this circulation will aid in the development of the low-pressure region.
It is recommended that people be abreast of the most recent weather predictions and take the appropriate safety measures. The Meteorological Center has issued warnings about thunderstorms with strong winds in a number of regions, and because of the choppy seas, fisherman are being cautioned to be careful.
