Odisha is gradually recovering from the cold wave that has plagued the state for the past few days. The minimum temperatures have somewhat increased, providing relief to people, particularly in the northern and southern regions.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Daringibadi had the lowest temperature of 10°C, followed by Rourkela at 10.6°C, Jharsuguda at 11.3°C, Phulabani at 12°C, Koraput at 12.5°C, Keonjhar at 12.6°C, Sundargarh at 13°C, and Boudh at 14°C. Several additional districts, including Angul, Baripada, Bhawanipatna, and Khordha, recorded 15°C, with Kendrapada recording 15.8°C. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack had temperatures of 18.1°C and 16.2°C, respectively.
The IMD has issued a yellow warning for dense fog, which is expected to develop in one or two locations in Sundargarh, Kandhamal, Koraput, and Kalahandi districts on Monday.
The IMD also recommended commuters and residents in fog-affected areas to exercise caution, particularly early in the morning and late at night.
